🎶 Music in the Park – September 2 in Cook! 🎶

Join us Wednesday, September 2, from 6–8 p.m. at the Gazebo on River Street for an unforgettable evening with Keith Secola and Eric Pederson!

A seven-time Native American Music Award winner, Keith Secola blends Anishinabe roots with blues, rock, and world music to create a sound all his own. This special performance is presented in partnership with NWFA and KBFT Bois Forte Community Radio Station.

🌽 Come early! The Cook Chamber of Commerce Farmer’s Market and NWFA vendors will be onsite from 4:30–7 p.m.

🍔 Food available for purchase: Burgers, brats, root beer floats, and more from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

☔ In case of rain, the event will move to the Cook VFW.

🎵 Bring a lawn chair, gather your friends, and enjoy a great night of live music in the heart of Cook!

Happy Summer! Our Rootbeer Float stand has been a huge success this summer 😎 We will be setting up in Orr on July 3rd for their celebrations. We are looking for a few students to run the stand from 9 am to 4 pm. Message me if you can help out. Miigwech!

Our summer school students are rocking it! They have been working so hard, and have significantly decreased their academic deficiencies. CONGRATULATION AND GOOD JOB TO THESE STUDENTS 👏👏👏We still have a few days left, so lets keep going! Your dedication has been amazing! On this page, you generally only see our extra events which mainly take place during non school hours. Most of our time is actually used on academics and the data gathering/paperwork for our funding. We also believe we can achieve the greatest academic success by helping them feel part of a community where they are each important and loved, a place where they belong. Summer school is offered to all students who need it. This year 90+% were our AI students who actually took advantage of it. I think this proves they are feeling the sense of belonging and willing to work because they matter ♥️. I am so proud of them!
