Yesterday the Board of Directors met on-site for our Annual Strategic Planning meeting! We were sad to miss Connie Little Portwood and William Thomas but it was a productive meeting, helping provide a clear direction forward for Mound Ridge in the next year (and beyond!).

Thank you to Imo's Sullivan, Mo. for providing lunch to help sustain us during the 6 hour meeting!

What an incredible week it was at Mound Ridge! 🌲✨
​Over the past few days, we’ve shared so many fun memories—from fishing on the water and floating down the river to creating crafts to take home. But as our week comes to a close, we want to highlight the most special part of camp: spending time together and learning about the faithful ways God keeps His promises.
​The Lord was truly working in the hearts of our campers this week! Through our study of David, the kids learned that just as God kept His promises to David, He keeps His promises to each and every one of us today.
​Seeing our campers lift their voices in worship to their Creator, right in the middle of His beautiful creation, is what makes summers at Mound Ridge so unforgettable. Thank you to all the donors, families, volunteers, counselors, and campers who made this week so meaningful. We can’t wait to see how God continues to work in these young lives!

Last week, our campers traded in their usual routine for paintbrushes, canvas, and a whole lot of imagination! It’s was incredible watching them express their unique creative sides through so many fun, hands-on projects.

​🪨 Rock & Canvas Painting: Turning everyday stones and blank canvases into vibrant, colorful masterpieces!
​🖼️ Stained Glass Creations: Catching the summer sun with stunning, translucent designs.
​🎣 Fishing Lure Bracelets: Putting a unique, camp-inspired twist on handmade jewelry!
​From bold strokes of paint to intricate detail work, our campers blew us away with their talent, focus, and playful spirits. We love seeing their personalities shine through their art!

Early in the week, our campers crafted their weapons: homemade flour bombs. The anticipation was real... but the actual Flour War? Absolutely legendary!
​There is nothing quite like the pure joy of pelting your best friends with flour, diving for cover, and laughing until your stomach hurts. Safe to say everyone left looking a little powdery, but with huge smiles (and core memories made)!

​If you ask our campers what their favorite part of the week was, you’ll hear one answer loud and clear: THE FLOAT TRIP! 💦☀️
​From laughing until our stomachs hurt and singing camp songs down the river, to splashing around and soaking up the summer sun, this week’s float trip was pure magic. There’s nothing quite like watching our campers make unforgettable memories, build lifelong friendships, and simply have the time of their lives on the water.

Our campers had an incredible week! One highlight was their trip to Maramec Spring Park to learn all about fish! They were guided through the park by an educator with the Missouri Department of Conservation before visiting the trout hatchery and feeding the fish! Once back at their starting point, they learned about fish anatomy, how to tie knots, and cast a fishing line. After practicing casting with a fun game on land, our new experts got to try it out themselves!

To say we had an amazing week of summer camp programming would be an understatement. ❤️

From laughing with cabinmates to worshiping under the stars, this week was filled with moments that our campers will carry with them for years to come.

We witnessed confidence grow, friendships blossom, and God's love shine through every activity, song, prayer, and smile.

These are the moments that remind us why the legacy of Mound Ridge has lasted over 76 years. The theme, "God Keeps His Promises" is one that our campers will hold in their hearts throughout their lives. ❤️
