RCPS has been researching telehealth services to determine the potential benefit such services could provide for our district’s students. School-based telehealth services are essentially remote medical services conveniently provided to students utilizing remote technologies that do not require students to visit traditional brick-and-mortar medical facilities. Such services provided in a school setting could minimize missed instructional time for students and work time for parents. Additionally, comprehensive telehealth services would fundamentally establish school-based clinics to support the existing school-based clinic services by providing a wider range of health services, both remotely and via a designated mobile medical unit as warranted, including but not limited to vaccinations, well checks, dental, behavioral, etc. Such expanded school-based telehealth services would be principally provided by duly licensed pediatricians as well as nurse practitioners and other helping professionals. Such telehealth and onsite mobile services would provide continuity and immediacy of care to students as part of comprehensive, wraparound support services. This survey is designed to solicit stakeholder perspectives on RCPS offering such telehealth services.

RCPS ha estado investigando los servicios de telesalud para determinar el beneficio potencial que dichos servicios podrían brindar a los estudiantes de nuestro distrito. Los servicios de telesalud basados en la escuela son esencialmente servicios médicos remotos que se brindan convenientemente a los estudiantes que utilizan tecnologías remotas que no requieren que los estudiantes visiten las instalaciones médicas tradicionales de ladrillo y mortero.
