*A parent or legal guardian needs to attend to consent to the COVID testing. If a non-custodial adult brings the student for COVID testing, that student should bring a copy of the parent’s/guardian’s driver’s license and a letter granting permission for the student to have COVID testing. This method will also be allowed for student-athletes that come in testing.
What do I need to bring with me? There are TWO separate items you must bring:
You must bring a Parent/Guardian* and:
1. Either your health insurance card, driver’s license or social security number (or that of a Parent/Guardian)
AND
2. You must bring your Student ID number.
Do I need an appointment to be tested during these times?
No, testing will be on a first-come, first-served basis in the drive-through format. Pre-registering will save time on-site, but appointments will not be followed.
Do I need to pre-register for testing?
Yes, pre-registering a day on advance is highly recommended (not required) and will save time on-site. Go to http://www.freecovidtesting.us and choose RCPS Return to School from the quick registration drop-down. During pre-registration on this website, it will ask you to choose an appointment time. THESE ARE NOT REAL APPOINTMENT TIMES. Please be aware that we are serving first-come, first-served in the drive-through line during the scheduled times, not by appointment times selected on this site.
If I have more than one student, will I have to complete multiple registrations?
Yes, each individual will need to complete the quick registration, either in advance or on-site.
When will I get my results?
Standard PCR results should be received in approximately 24 hours of being tested. Further details will be given at the time of testing. Results may be delayed slightly for those who do not pre-register.
What is the format of testing, do I go in the school?
No, these testing opportunities will be drive-through or walk-up. It is preferred that students and parents remain in their vehicle to be tested.
Can I bring family members to be tested with me?

What if my results are positive?
Please plan for virtual instruction and avoid team athletics until cleared by a physician or at least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared and symptoms have resolved. Please contact your school or coach and notify them of your positive results.
What if I have symptoms and I am waiting on my results?
If you are unwell, you should not enter any RCPS campus until those symptoms have been resolved. If you receive a positive test result plan for virtual instruction and avoid team athletics until cleared by a physician or at least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared and symptoms have resolved. Please contact your school or coach and notify them of your positive results.
