Our faculty use the summer to stay abreast of the latest trends in researching the past and teaching history. Dr. Whalen, who's interested in the interrelations between war and society, traveled to New Orleans for a Faculty Seminar in WW2 History at NOLA's prestigious WW2 museum.

Prof Monford Hamilton is braving Uganda's cold season in gear (teal sneakers included!): as a guest lecturer at Nkumba University, Hamilton will speak about "The extraordinary courage of ordinary Americans" that brought about the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts.
