Nearly 175 community leaders from across Arkansas and nine other states – Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas – participated in the 40th annual Community Development Institute at UCA. The five-day training session, held July 27-31, concluded with a graduation and awards ceremony.

Eight cadets who traveled to the University of Central Arkansas Aviation Academy from all across the nation have completed their intensive summer training program through the U.S. Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps.

UCA was one of only seven universities nationwide selected for the 2026 program and was the only program to achieve a 100% completion rate for cadets.
