After our nature walk our learners shared what they “sensed” and they were so proud. Towards the end of the week, they moved that learning from their brains to the word wall and wrote (look closely for their pencil work above the marker) what they sensed! Such scholars who will attempt any task, thank you families for working so closely with us!

A study of the 5 senses never looses its luster! At the center we: sketched things that we can see, tasted a variety of food items and categorized them by flavor, felt water on our skin, listened as we had a visit from the Faulkner County Library, and created a chart collecting data of all of the input from our senses with popcorn.

Whew, what a week of summer program learning disguised as fun😃. We began the week completing our flower garden. The kids have taken part in loading and unloading dirt, clearing the flower bed, pulling weeds and planting their own chosen plant. A great start to the 5 senses study!

Everyone worked so hard preparing the playground for the summer! They then enjoyed the chair additions to the area!

Such a fun first week of summer learning! Water day looked different because of the drought but kiddos don’t mind at all.
