We offer BA/BS degrees and minors in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations and Writing, Rhetoric, and Info Design.🐻 The School of Communication offers majors and minors in communication, journalism, public relations and writing. It's National Dog Day, and we have a treat for you!

Our SoC students shared their furry best friends so that we could share them with all of you!

Charlotte - Ally Hoomalu, Communication major and Entrepreneurship and Innovation minor

Manny - Michelle Potapskiy, Public Relations major with Journalism minor

Timber - Erica Yakoubian. Communication major and Writing, Rhetoric, and Information Design minor.

Daisy Jane - Harper Phillips, double major in Journalism and Public Relations with a minor in Psychology

Did you know UCA has a program called Living Unleashed? .living.unleashed allows students to become volunteer puppy raisers for Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), a nonprofit organization that provides highly trained companion dogs to people with disabilities.

Dr. Kyle McDaniel is an Assistant Professor of Journalism with the School of Communication. They want students to know that SoC courses and student media outlets are unique for combining theory with hands-on, real-world experience. Students get to create media for classes and local outlets, and connect with communication professionals across the region.
