Our students showcased original startup ideas with creativity, confidence, and professionalism while pitching to a panel of “Shark” investors. It was inspiring to see them apply real-world business concepts, innovation, financial literacy, and public speaking skills in such an engaging way!

On May 1st, 2026, Carowinds hosted Engineering Day, an interactive event tailor-made for kids and teens eager to delve into the fascinating realm of engineering. This is an exclusive opportunity for students to engage with industry professionals who will unveil the technological marvels and human psychology applied by Carowinds in constructing a park that caters to the adrenaline cravings of thousands of guests every day.

Engineering Day is not just an event; it's an educational adventure where young minds can explore the synergy of science and entertainment. Learn the secrets behind the construction of gravity-defying roller coasters and gain insights into the dynamic world of theme park engineering.

We are excited to announce that SJHS Engineering Club took 1st place designing a rollercoaster at this event! Way to gooooooo, Sharks!! We are so proud of you!

We celebrate MBHS, ATA, AAST, and NMB for their outstanding commitment to Health Science education through internship and shadowing experiences at McLeod Seacoast. Special recognition to our Myrtle Beach students who successfully completed over 120 hours in preparation for entering the medical field—what an incredible accomplishment!

Big things are happening at the Academy for Technology & Academics!

Our Health Science students recently visited McLeod Health Loris, where they’ve been gaining real-world experience through their internships. Students proudly shared their journeys, hands-on learning, and career goals, showcasing the impact of authentic workplace experiences in preparing them for the healthcare field.

Meanwhile, our talented Human Services students (cosmetology, barbering, esthetics, and nail technology) participated in an exciting Salon Showcase Hiring Event hosted by ATA! This wasn’t just a showcase, it was an opportunity for students to connect with industry professionals and take the next step toward employment in their chosen fields.

From the hospital to the salon floor, our students are gaining the skills, confidence, and connections they need to succeed.✨

🏌️‍♂️ PGA Day Experience! 🌱🍽️📈

Our students had an incredible opportunity to go behind the scenes of a professional golf tournament in preparation for PGA players and spectators!
During this experience, students toured the facility and connected with industry professionals who shared insights into their roles and career journeys. From Agriculture (horticulture & turf management) to Hospitality & Culinary Arts, and Marketing & Business, students explored a wide range of exciting career pathways that make events like this possible.
They also learned about post-secondary education opportunities that can help turn these interests into future careers.
