CPSD Social Media Community Standards

The Conway Public School District’s official social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) are administered and monitored by the CPSD Communications Specialist. Individual schools and our athletic program maintain accounts across these channels as well. Our social media pages are where we share the stories and celebrate the accomplishments of

our CPSD students and staff. We welcome the opportunity for our parents and stakeholders to engage with us on our pages; however, we expect civility and common sense in all comments. The administrators of any and all Conway School District accounts reserve the right to hide or remove comments, replies, or other content and interactions that they deem to be in violation of the District’s Social Media Community Standards or in violation of the social media platform’s standards. (Facebook Community Standards;
Instagram Policies; Twitter Rules/Policies; YouTube Community Guidelines)

The administrators may also take action to report, block, or ban users from any and all social media platforms for repeated violations of these standards. Individuals who comment on the Conway School District’s social media platforms- or any platforms owned or managed by schools within the Conway School District- are expected to abide by the following Community Guidelines:

We will promptly remove comments that are deemed to be:

False, defamatory, or personal attacks or accusations
Misrepresentation of the poster’s identity
Political campaigning, commercial solicitations, or promotions of products or services of any third party, unless approved in advance by district administrators
Hate speech or speech that is obscene, harassing, baiting, intimidating, threatening or inciting violence
An attempt to incite action in violation of any federal or state laws or in violation of any CPSD School Board Policy
Identifying or targeting staff and/or students in a negative or abusive way
In violation of copyright and fair use laws
Profane, sexually explicit or suggestive
Harassment on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or age

🪪 Visitor IDs

Keeping our students safe is our top priority. That's why all visitors who have not yet been entered into our visitor system are required to present a valid photo ID when entering the building during school hours.

Our visitor check-in process helps us know who is in the building at all times and is an important part of maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. Thank you for helping us keep our Little Wampus Cats safe! 💙🐾

💬 Teacher Conferences

Arrival and dismissal are some of the busiest times of the day. During these times, teachers are focused on supervising students and making sure everyone arrives and leaves safely.

If you'd like to discuss your child's progress or have questions, please reach out through the communication app, email, or contact the office to schedule a time to talk. This allows teachers to give your concerns the time and attention they deserve while keeping all students safe. Thank you for your understanding and partnership! 💙🐾

👨‍🏫 Staff Children

You may occasionally see a CLE staff member bringing their own child into the building as they report to work. Since our staff members are already on campus and beginning their workday, their children enter with them.

For all other students who are not bus riders, arrival should take place through the designated car rider line. This helps us maintain safe, consistent arrival procedures for everyone.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep arrival safe, organized, and efficient for all of our Little Wampus Cats! 💙🐾

⏳ Patience During the First Two Weeks

The first two weeks of school are a time of learning—not just in the classroom, but for our routines as well! Students, families, and staff are all adjusting to new procedures, so arrival and dismissal lines may take a little longer as everyone learns the process.

With a little patience and consistency, things quickly become smoother. Thank you for your understanding, flexibility, and partnership as we help our Little Wampus Cats have a successful start to the school year! 💙🐾

🚗 Today's Topic: Parking Lot Drop-Offs

For the safety of all our students, we do not allow parking lot drop-offs. Students walking through moving traffic without staff supervision creates a significant safety concern during our busy arrival time.

Our car rider line is designed to provide a safe, supervised location where students can exit their vehicles and begin their day. Thank you for helping us keep every Little Wampus Cat safe by using the designated car rider line each morning! 💙🐾

🍽️ Lunch Visitors

Why don't lunch visitors begin at the start of the school year? The first few weeks of school are dedicated to helping students learn routines, build independence, and settle into their new classrooms.

Waiting to welcome lunch visitors allows our cafeteria and classrooms to establish smooth procedures first, creating a calmer, more successful start for everyone. We appreciate your patience as we help our Little Wampus Cats get off to a great start! 💙🐾

🐾 Behind the Procedure – The Why Behind the Way 🐾

🚪 Today's Topic: The 7:50 Gate Closure

The gate closes at 7:50 a.m. so our staff can transition from arrival duties to preparing students for a successful school day. This helps classes begin on time while keeping our campus organized and safe.

After 7:50 a.m., families should park and walk their students into the building. Thank you for helping us start each day safely and smoothly for all of our Little Wampus Cats! 💙🐾
