Congratulations, Marguerite!
Reaching a major milestone in a Ph.D. journey π
As a Ph.D. student in Education Sciences, Marguerite O'Brien is spending the summer focused on writing, research, and preparing for comprehensive exams while completing her final course, PHDE 801: Community Education Engagement.
With an undergraduate degree in International Studies and a Master of Social Work, Marguerite brings a strong foundation to her doctoral work. Recently, her dedication to the field has through induction as a Fellow of the American College Health Association and receiving the Bohmann Award from the Southern College Health Association.
Even in the midst of this demanding work, Marguerite is intentional about balanc, mirroring her research on mindfulness and reflective practice.
Itβs exciting to see students reaching milestones like this while continuing to grow, contribute, and make an impact in higher education.
