Another soybean variety trial is in the ground in Faulkner County! Excited to have them all in the planted!

Wheat variety plots were harvested in Faulkner County today. Pretty good yields and test weights. I will get the data together and share in the newsletter this week. Thanks to Kevin VanPelt for the help!

Soybean variety plot on clay soil went in the ground today. This is a plot Faulkner County producers have been asking for, so I was glad to finally get one in. Clay soils are tough.

Meet Don Clark for today's Farmer Friday!

Don is a cow/calf producer in Faulkner County and a semi-retired Physical Therapist Assistant. He has always been involved in agriculture as his family had a cattle operation.

"I joined ACLC to learn more about ACA and networking with other farmers from all the different counties," Clark said.

His favorite part about the ACA is getting information about current events related to cattle operations and attending county meetings.

Some of the things seen in Faulkner County today, corn moving to R3 (roasting ear stage), rice nodes moving ready for fertilizer, soybeans being planted, and wheat straw being baled up in bundles!

Established a potash trial on soybeans in Lollie this morning. Looking at two rates now, two rates in season and an application now followed by one in season. Thank you to my wonderful wife Rena for helping!
