The third quarter Sheep Success Series meeting is in the books and we had another successful meeting. Thanks to Extension’s Kenny Simon, Bill Constanza from Texas A&M, and UofA’s own Janeal Yancey for speaking to the group about electric fencing, LGDs, and lamb processing! One more quarter to go!!

Great shout out to Faulkner County producer Zeb Garner!

Zeb Garner is a cow/calf producer from Faulkner County and works as an Accounts Manager for Olive Branch Landscape Management. He has been around cattle his entire life, saying, "I have always had cows or worked with cows all my life."

"I joined ACLC because I wanted a better understanding of the representation of the association." Garner said, "I truly enjoy talking with everyone and hearing about different perspectives and methods to accomplish a similar goal."

His favorite part about being a member of the Arkansas Cattlemen's Association is connecting with other cattlemen and hearing different perspectives and methods for accomplishing a shared goal. He also values the power of having a united voice as cattlemen working to better their families and communities while providing quality cattle and beef products.

The Faulkner County 4H Foundation would like to thank the community for their support Saturday night at our fish fry auction fundraiser! Thank you to every business or person that donated auction items, table sponsors, individual ticket purchasers, auction item winners, and the volunteers who helped make the night a success!
We raised $18,000 to help support our program! 👏🏻

Our third meeting in our 2026 Sheep Success Series is coming up August 29 from 9:00 to 12:00 at the Faulkner County Extension Office. Please call and register at 501-329-8344. Topics for this session include electric fencing, guardian dogs, and lamb processing. If you have been to some of the first meetings remember to bring your three ring binder. For all new people I will have binders for you.

Can't wait to see everyone on August 29th!!
