URGENT REMINDER
Arkansans will have some very important voting issues on the November Ballot which affect our 2A Rights. These will include selection of congressional leaders ( both on State and National level) and a very important 2nd Amendment amendment known as Issue 2.

October 3 is the deadline to register to vote in this important election. Not registered? Or don’t know if you are registered? Go to the Secretary of State Arkansas gov website to register AND receive a sample ballot of candidates and issues that will be on the ballot specifically where you live. Remember October 3 is deadline for registering to vote.

ARPA stands in support of the Arkansas Issue 2 which provides the right to keep and bear is a “natural, fundamental, and individual right that shall not be infringed on”.

While ARPA ( because of our 501c 3 status) cannot openly support any candidate, we do recommend and advise you to go to the NRA-PVF or NSSF(National Shooting Sports Foundation) websites for grades of candidates on the ballot and their grade when voting on 2A issues.

Please make sure you’re registered to vote and you exercise your rights ( and responsibility) as an American citizen to vote.

⏰ 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at CMP’s 1911 Facility (1800 Roberts Dr.), with Service Grade, Field Grade and Rack Grade pistols available.

The CMP 1911 Program offers genuine U.S. military-issued, field-tested M1911A1 pistols. Each fi***rm is inspected and test fired, ensuring collectors and enthusiasts receive a quality piece of American history.

Required items:
✅ U.S. Citizenship and Age (Birth Certificate, Passport, etc,)
✅ Membership in CMP Affiliated Organization
✅ Copy of Valid Driver’s License
✅ State Application Documents (if applicable)

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Dierks Lake Project Office is accepting applications for a special youth deer hunt at Dierks Lake Oct. 24-25, 2026.

Six permits will be issued to hunters ages 6-15. Applicants must submit a completed form by Oct. 2. Applications are available at the Dierks Lake Project Office located at 246 Jefferson Ridge Road, Dierks, AR or by calling 870-286-2346. A random drawing and hunter notification will occur on Oct. 7.

Participants must have guardian consent and be accompanied by an unarmed adult over 21 years old the day of the hunt who has completed hunter’s education and has a valid Arkansas hunting license.

Youth hunters are limited to alternative fi***rms, must provide their own fi***rm and be proficient in its use. For a list of fi***rms approved for use during the alternative fi***rms season, visit www.agfc.com/hunting/deer/deer-specific-hunting-regulations/

Access and hunting blinds will be provided. This event promotes conservation, outdoor interest and ethical hunting while improving the local deer herd.

We will have our monthly ARA club match this Saturday. It will be a three target match for Factory and Unlimited shooters. Set up will be at 7:30 sign up and Bench draw will take place around 8:00am and shooting will begin at9:00am.
Be aware that that we will not have a match in Oct because of the Nationals.
We will have a 6 target Club tournament in November for Factory and Unlimited classes.
