I’m so proud of our brave young team of instructors putting their own lives on hold to go to the border communities to train up willing civilians with essential life saving medical skills. We are honored to be part of the Chazak Rescue support team through the medical training their guardians and staff apply themselves to every year with diligence and discipline. We are proud of you all.

Operation Sandman

In November 2024, Chazak's Operation Sandman continued with a deployment to South Sudan where our team, consisting of a Chazak Humanitarian Liaison and a Guardian, focused on setting up logistical resources and strengthening partnerships with local leaders and organizations in conflict-affected, flooded, and impoverished zones to continue preparations for future Guardian deployments to reach the unreached populations. The team also located promising facilities for a longer-term Forward Operating Base in the region!

During their travels, the team faced border delays and the confiscation of communication equipment, but navigated these challenges professionally while continuing to build connections and gather vital information for future humanitarian efforts.

They met with local leaders and community organizers, many of whom are central to the peace-building efforts in the region. These leaders, many of whom have been displaced multiple times, showed incredible resilience and forgiveness, a true testament to their faith in God.

Looking ahead, we are planning a possibly operational deployment in early 2025 focused on pushing further into the conflict zones with emergency medical field clinics and humanitarian aid, though our plans remain flexible due to the ever-evolving situation on the ground.
