WIPL Member Spotlight: Eileen Patonay has served on the WIPL board and Conference & Celebration planning committee for years. She is passionate about bringing scholarships and experiences to students. She shares, "Making a difference in our community is very important to me. The mission of Coastal Carolina University WIPL opens a window of opportunities to not only assist CCU students with scholarships, but to support one another through professional development,fellowship and fun. Whether it is connecting with high school, college students or life long learners, it is vital, 'As we move forward. we reach back to lift up the next woman'." Bobby McFerrin: The 23rd Psalm Members of the Coastal Carolina University Concert Choir, Voice Faculty, and Alumni.

WIPL Member Spotlight: Britt Bird has been doing incredible work to help during this time. She shares, “Through my website makemasksforamerica.org, I’m honored to work with 50 local volunteers from the Grand Dunes neighborhoods to sew over 2000 masks for the Myrtle Beach area. Donations have gone to Coastline Women’s Center, Tidelands Health, McLeod Health, Little River Medical Center, Inlet Oaks Assisted Living Facility, Portside Senior Living Facility, and to the City of Myrtle Beach for first responders and the city workers. I also have over 5O volunteers nationally sewing for medical facilities throughout the country to support healthcare workers during the COVID19 pandemic and the shortage of medical masks. The website has resources on how to make masks and a list of over 350 medical facilities in need of masks. If anyone would like to sew masks or has a medical facility or first responder in need of masks they can sign up at makemasksforamerica.org.” Wow, Britt! Thank you to all of our members who have made such a tremendous impact on our students, who need our support now more than ever! Because of your generosity, we are able to award $70,000 to more than 55 students this fall - more than we've ever been able to award! Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving, for believing in WIPL's mission, and for supporting the next generation of leaders.
