The purpose of the program is to assist with the reruitment, training, and certification of elementary teachers who are planning to teach in South Carolina schools, especially in the lowest performing elementary schools. The program seeks to build a more diverse group of educators by providing academic, social, and financial support to individuals interested in entering the teaching profession.

Yesterday, Dr. Franklin Gause, Director of the CCU Call Me MiSTER cohort, served as guest speaker at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church’s Red, Black, Green Program.
Dr. Gause delivered a powerful and impactful lesson on Black history, reminding us of the importance of legacy, resilience, and the responsibility we carry to continue the work. His message reflected the pillars of Call Me MiSTER — education, empowerment, and service to our community.
