Zoltán Cser was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1970. He started to practice in a Buddhist Chan Community at the age of 16 to become a monk in 1992. Later, he enrolled at the University of Economics, but after two years, he decided to continue his studies at the newly founded Dharma Gate Buddhist College (DGBC). In 2004, he returned to DGBC as a lecturer, teaching Buddhist ethics, meditation techniques, Buddhist liturgy and breathing methods as well as to organize and lead Buddhist ceremonies.
He served as the Vice-Rector of Education at DGBC for 12 years. Zoltan was accepted as a doctoral student at ELTE University Budapest studying Mongolian Buddhism and in the Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) at International Buddhist Studies College Thailand where he gained a doctoral degree.
In 2003, Zoltan began to practice in the International Dzogchen Community under the guidance of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche. In 2010 he became a Vajra Dance and Yantra Yoga instructor and later SMS instructor in the International Dzogchen Community (Yantra 2nd level, Vajra Dance 2nd level, SMS Base).
His primary focus of research is the various meditation techniques of Buddhism and the Buddhist education systems, while he enjoys regularly leading Buddhist retreats, teaching online and in-person.
In this workshop, Zoli will walk you through six kinds of applications of mindfulness, practicing them one by one in a very simple way. You will learn the ways to develop presence and ways to develop understanding, wisdom.
The workshop will be held in English, with Spanish, Italian, and Russian translations.
