HGTC, in partnership with WMBF News, is helping students head back to school with confidence by offering free haircuts for K-12 students!
Our talented cosmetology students, under the supervision of licensed instructors, will provide haircuts on a first come, first served basis while capacity allows. No registration is required.

HGTC is pleased to announce an expanded partnership with McLeod Health and Horry County Schools that will offer in-person classes beginning in the Fall 2026 semester at The Center for Health & Fitness at McLeod Health Loris.
Join us for the HGTC McLeod Health Loris Open House on Tuesday, July 14, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. to learn more about available programs, meet with Student Services and Financial Aid, and begin the enrollment process.

Horry-Georgetown Technical College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Melissa Batten as Interim President, effective August 1, 2026.
Dr. Batten brings extensive leadership experience and a strong commitment to student success, having served HGTC in multiple executive roles, most recently as Vice President for Student Affairs. Her leadership has helped strengthen student engagement, access, and completion while advancing the College's mission and strategic priorities.
As Interim President, Dr. Batten will lead the College through this transition while continuing HGTC's focus on student success, workforce development, and community impact across Horry and Georgetown counties.
