Conway High School AVID

This group will forever hold a special place in my heart for a lot of different reasons. One of the reasons is because most of them had to hear my mouth for three consecutive years, both fall and spring semesters, every day, for 90 minutes each day….and they still came out ok! 😂 Teaching a group of kids for this long definitely creates a bond that looks like and feels like a family. And that is what they will forever be to me.

Last 2 field trips of the year ... in the books!
Rain or shine we were off to Francis Marion University to explore all the amazing opportunities FMU has to offer. Then the following week we were soaking up the sun at CCU. We are AVID and we thrive in any weather!

Join us on a journey through two vibrant college campuses! Conway High School AVID students discover the beauty and diversity of higher education in Charleston.
First stop: Charleston Southern University, nestled amidst wide open spaces, offering a serene private school experience. Then, we ventured into the heart of the city to explore College of Charleston, surrounded by the charm of historic streets. 📸

From Chef coats to Lab coats!
Yesterday our Conway High School AVID students toured and explored the world of culinary at the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach and learned about the cutting-edge facilities within the Health Science Program of HGCT. We capped it off with a walk and debrief on careers at lunch in Market Common ... igniting passions and appetites on our Field Trip Day!
