**CONWAY STUDENT COUNCIL SPONSORED ACTIVITY**

One of our first year members, Carsen Smith, has recently been diagnosed with a rare bone cancer and will be receiving treatment over the next few weeks. To show support for our own, members are heavily encouraged to dress in yellow and wear a hat on Thursday, October 1st.
Members who choose to wear a hat will need to purchase a pass at the high school office for $1. All proceeds go towards Carsen’s family to help purchase good food and gas during the time of her treatments, as they will be in St. Louis.
Our goal is for EVERY FFA member to show support during this time. We will award 1 point to members wearing yellow, and 1 point for members wearing a hat. (You can wear both!!)

🥎🏆 2026 AREA FFA SOFTBALL CHAMPIONS!! 🏆🥎

Last Thursday, Conway FFA took two teams to the Area FFA Softball Tournament in Lebanon, where our members competed against Lebanon, Hartville, Niangua, and Stoutland.

And for the first time since 2016, Conway FFA brought home the title of AREA FFA SOFTBALL CHAMPIONS!!

This is always one of our members' favorite events—an afternoon/evening of softball, meeting members from other chapters, lots of laughs, and maybe just a little friendly trash-talk along the way. 😜

Congratulations to all of our members who played and represented Conway FFA. We had a great time, and bringing home the championship made it even better.

Area FFA Softball Tournament is Thursday, September 24th. Members are still able to sign up to play or cheer in the Ag Building.

Please bring a glove, and extras, if you have them. You are welcome to bring your own bat but we are asking you to drop them off at the Ag Building before school- don't carry them with you all day.

Bring a water bottle, we will have some bottled water available during the games.

⚾️🎀 SWING FOR PINK Friday, September 25th 🎀⚾️

There will be lots of activities throughout the night including recognizing breast cancer survivors as well a silent auction of items donated by community members, businesses, and Conway clubs and teams.

FFA members will receive one point on the point chart for each day they participate in the spirit days and one point for attending the game.

Swing for Pink Spirit Days:

🥊 Monday- Knockout Cancer (Dress like a boxer)

👷🏼‍♂️ Tuesday- Saw Cancer in Half (Dress like a construction worker)

🎀 Wednesday- On Wednesdays We Wear Pink (Go all out dressed in pink)

🥎🧢 Thursday- Strike Out Cancer (Dress like a baseball or softball player)

Come out and support our baseball bears as they take on Hartville while supporting a great cause!

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will be at the Conway Ag Learning Center on Monday, September 21st from 10:00 am–3:00 pm

Twenty-three Conway FFA juniors and seniors spent the day at MU Field Day in Mt. Vernon. Throughout the day, they learned about beekeeping, cattle reproduction, soil conservation, prescribed burns, and more. They also had the opportunity to visit with representatives from Crown Power and the University of Missouri.

Now to brag on this group for just a minute. They were professional, courteous, attentive, and asked some REALLY good questions. And maybe most impressive of all—they didn't complain ONCE about the heat. And it was HOT!!

Days like today are a good reminder about how lucky we are to work with such a great group of kids.

The Community Days Parade at 10am will kickoff the festivities for the Annual Conway Community Days today.

Our t-shirt, hat, and "Guess the Pumpkins" contest booth will be to the north of the Community Days booth. We will also be setup for Pony Rides and Pig Scramble in the grassy area behind the main stage. Step by either booth to say hello to this year's FFA members!
