🌎✈️ Taking learning beyond the classroom!

Fourteen UCA students traveled more than 7,000 miles for a life-changing study abroad experience in New Zealand! Led in part by Dr. Denise Demers, Chair of the Department of Health Sciences, students spent three weeks exploring health, business, culture, sustainability, and more.

Today, CHBS remembers those whose lives have been lost to overdose, supports the families and friends impacted, and recognizes the importance of education, prevention, treatment, and recovery.

Through the Health Sciences Department’s Addiction Studies program, UCA is helping prepare future professionals to make a difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities affected by substance use.

Together, we can raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support recovery. 💜
