⭐ NORTHAMPTON COUNTY STAFF SPOTLIGHT⭐

Mrs. Tonya Worrock: "It's Never Too Late to Chase Your Dreams" 🎓💙💛

When Mrs. Tonya Michelle Worrock, Cafeteria Manager at Conway Middle School, watched her daughter pursue her education through Northampton County Early College, she found herself inspired to pursue a dream of her own.

Like many adult learners, Tonya faced challenges along the way. There were times when she wanted to quit and moments when the finish line seemed far away. But she held onto a simple belief:

"If you start something, finish it."

That determination led her to Halifax Community College, where she balanced work, family responsibilities, and coursework while continuing to serve the students of Northampton County Schools each day.

On May 8, 2026, Tonya proudly walked across the stage and earned her Associate Degree, proving that perseverance and hard work can make any goal achievable.

Her educational journey is far from over. Tonya plans to continue her studies at Elizabeth City State University, where she will pursue a degree in Business Administration.

What makes this story even more special is that just one day later, on May 9, 2026, her daughter, Sara Worrock, graduated from Chowan University. Together, this mother-daughter duo celebrated a weekend filled with achievement, dedication, and the rewards of never giving up.

Tonya's story reminds us that success is not determined by age or circumstance. It is determined by the courage to begin, the determination to continue, and the commitment to finish.
