We have canceled our barn restoration class this weekend.

🌲✨ Our Fourth Graders are stepping back in time as they explore Norse ruins and Scandinavian history!

Through stories of the Vikings and the ancient lands of the North, students are discovering how geography, culture, and courage shaped early civilizations. They have been carving symbols into wood, connecting their hands to history in a meaningful, artistic way, and creating detailed maps of Scandinavian territories, learning how land and sea guided travel, trade, and settlement.

This hands-on approach allows history to come alive — not just through books, but through craft, movement, imagination, and mindful work. We love watching our students build both knowledge and confidence as they bring the past to life in such a tangible way. 🤍

Our 2nd and 3rd graders started the day with lots of energy and teamwork during a game of Capture the Flag, followed by a grounding circle time filled with songs, movement, and joyful games 🎶🌿

In math, students practiced number sequences and worked through money-based math problems, strengthening both problem-solving skills and real-world understanding. The day also included quiet reading time, allowing students to settle into stories, and seasonal paintings, expressing their connection to nature through color and creativity 🎨🍁🌷

We ended the day with a calming mindfulness session with Ms. Maddie, helping students slow down, breathe deeply, and find balance before heading home.
