RDMS will host a Veterans Day Assembly Friday, Nov 10 @ 9am. We are inviting family members of students who served or are currently serving in our nation's military. During the assembly we will recognize veterans, and then we will invite guests to join us for a short appreciation reception. RDMS is having a food drive to collect food for Soul Food Cafe and our community. We will collect items from Nov. 6 - Nov. 14. Students and Parents may drop items off at the front office or in their 5th period class. Let's show everyone how much RDMS loves and supports our community in need. Mrs. Haynes 6th grade math, hunting ghosts, and solving problems! Ms. Starrs 6th grade math played a ratio game with passing paper when music played & then solved with partners when the music stopped. Making learning fun!
Students and staff had a great time dressing up for our Red Ribbon Week festivities.

Today was Neon Glow Day “My Future’s So Bright It Glows”. Mr. Cambell spent the day with Glowing Grammar, and Ms. Prothero and Ms. Hood’s 5th and 6th grade science class demonstrated their knowledge of the skeletal system with a spooky snack. We had such a great day full of fun and learning at RDMS!
Akhil, 7th grader at RDMS, placed first in the chess tournament in the Jr. High division (against 9th graders)! GREAT JOB!
Today was Team up Swifty/nFl day, “Team Up Against Bullying”.
RDMS Dance Tomorrow, Oct. 27 from 6-8. The cost is $5 at the door and we will have concessions for sale. Students may wear their Halloween costumes if they choose, however they need to follow school dress code.
Mrs. Willis is our Music teacher, she brings so much energy and passion into her subject area!
Pictures are being handed out and sent home today. Picture make up day will be November 28th, for anyone who missed picture day.
Mrs. Hendricks’ classes participate in a Reader’s Theater for “Thriller Thursday”!
We had the Power Rangers visit RDMS today. The honorary Pink Ranger stands front and center since our original Pink Ranger is fighting hard in the hospital: Mrs. Melinda Ferrand. We wanted to let her know she isn’t forgotten on days like these. Her spirited nature and love for all things fun still resides in our hallways.
Building fluency with Caring cats! Our Caring Cats are amazing, not only do they work with our students in class, they also eat lunch with several of our kiddos. Carving our way into Halloween making jack-o-lanterns following a “How to Carve a Pumpkin “ writing. Caring cats loved helping us out today! 🧡🎃
Today was “Dynamic Duo Day”, staff and students could wear their favorite duo outfit in order to “Double, Tripl, or Group Up Against Drugs”
Day 2 of Red Ribbon Week was Barbie and Ken-ergy Day “Drug Free and Anything I Want To be”, students and staff channeled their inner Barbie or Ken
RDMS will sell Boo Grams during activity time from October 25-31. They will be 50 cents each and will be delivered to students 7th period classes.
Blaze Pizza Conway donated pizza to our 5th grade students that passed at least 100 ReadTheory quizzes! Wow! We appreciate their support with our students.
We started off Red Ribbon Week with Rally in Red. Students and staff were wearing red and remembering to “Be kind to your mind”.

Our first RDMS pep assembly was a success!! The 7th grade won our Spirit Stick!!! We had some special cheerleaders from UCA attend, thank you for supporting RDMS!

TONIGHT is spirit night at Hungry Howie's. Have a great meal while supporting RDMS, 10% of all sales between 4-8 will come back to RDMS.
Mrs. Wood’s 7th grade social studies classes headed outside yesterday to conduct their Unit 3 Vocabulary “Gallery Walk” and enjoy the weather. Each student created a vocabulary poster, and then students rotated to each of the posters recording the definitions and creating images to aid in their comprehension of the term.

The Conway Public Schools Orchestra program presents its annual "La Fiesta Orquesta” event on Monday, November 13, featuring the nearly 300 students of the orchestra program in free concerts throughout the night in the James H. Clark Auditorium. In addition, a taco supper fundraiser is held in the Conway HS Cafeteria from 5-8 pm.
Tickets to the dinner are on sale now and can be purchased from any orchestra student, and donations and ticket purchases can also be made online at conwayorch.square.site. This year we are partnering with Tacos4Life, so every meal purchased raises funds for the orchestra AND provides a meal to a person in need!
