On the Trans Day of Remembrance (November 20, 2019) the AHGEP-Athenaeum Press collaboration launched our book Trans/South: Ten Stories of Identity. Our sincere thanks to all who participated in the project, most of all to the individuals who were willing to be interviewed by AHGEP and who shared their experiences of being trans in the South. A little over a year in the making, the book is a product of AHGEP's commitment to civic engagement as the most important cultural practice through which we effectively intersect global and local experiences of identity and the community. Trans/South: Ten Stories of Identity is a collaboration that goes beyond the walls of the Edwards College. Our project was supported by multiple individuals and organizations across campus, the region, and the world. A special thanks to Jay Bernard, Mijke van der Drift, and Veronica Walters for engaging with and inspiring the AHGEP student ambassadors throughout their learning experiences. Thanks to all at the Athenaeum Press for their work and collaboration, the first ever between Experiential Learning initiatives at Coastal Carolina University. Thank you, AHGEP Ambassadors for your commitment to the project and to our mission of global civic engagement. The book is beautiful in every way. https://www.amazon.com/Trans-South-Ten-Stories-Identity/dp/1970030062/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=trans%2Fsouth%3A+ten+stories+of+identitiy&qid=1574341475&sr=8-1-spell
