Here are a few more photos from our May Day celebration and Kona Ice visit! ☀️🍧 The smiles, laughter, and colorful tongues made for such a fun-filled day at Sallie Cone Preschool.
As the school year begins to come to a close, we are reminded of the many meaningful experiences our children have shared both inside and outside the classroom. From learning and growing together to creating joyful memories with friends and teachers, these moments help build confidence, connection, and a love for school.
We hope our students carry these positive experiences, happy memories, and special friendships with them as they continue their educational journey. 💙
Thank you to our wonderful teachers and families for helping make this year so special for our children!

This year, we celebrate the retirement of Mrs. Pam Tomlinson and the lasting impact she has made at Sallie Cone Preschool. Through her kindness, patience, and dedication, she has touched the lives of countless children, families, and coworkers over the years.
We are grateful for the care and support she gave so generously each day. Mrs. Pam, we wish you all the best in this next chapter — enjoy every moment of your well-deserved retirement!

A huge THANK YOU to Kona Ice for helping us cool down with a sweet treat yesterday! The children at Sallie Cone Preschool had so much fun enjoying their snow cones — but the biggest excitement may have been discovering what color their tongues and teeth turned afterward! 😄🍧
Nothing says a successful Kona Ice visit quite like a rainbow of smiling faces! Thank you, Kona Ice, for bringing the fun and making our day extra sweet!

Our preschoolers have been using loose parts to create their very own bugs and insects! 🐞🐛
Through this hands-on experience, children are strengthening fine motor skills, creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Activities like these also encourage communication, imagination, and independent exploration as children design and build using a variety of materials.
We love seeing their unique creations come to life while learning through play!

A few more photos from Friday’s May Day fun at Sallie Cone Pre-K! 🎉☀️
The dance party and bubbles were definitely a hit with the kids! A special thank you to Mr. Burbank for keeping the tunes going all morning long and helping make the day so much fun for everyone! 💃🫧🎶

Throughout the year, our students have been strengthening the fine motor skills needed to begin writing their names through hands-on activities, tracing, drawing, and daily practice.
These early writing experiences help build coordination, hand strength, and confidence in emergent literacy skills.
The letters may not all be perfectly connected yet, but they are recognizing and independently attempting the letters in their names—and that is meaningful growth worth celebrating!
