💙 Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4–8!
Join us as we celebrate our amazing teachers all week long with fun dress-up days and small ways to show appreciation.

Each day includes a theme, what to wear, and an optional item to bring—see the attached flyer for details!

Bobcat Families and Staff,

Due to extreme cold and potential icy conditions, all East Central ISD schools and offices will be closed tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 26.

The makeup day is scheduled for Monday, April 6, which will now be a regular school day. We anticipate returning to a normal schedule on Tuesday.

Please monitor ecisd.net for further updates. Stay safe and warm, and avoid travel unless necessary.

📅 Thu, Dec 18 — Ugly Sweater Day: Wear your silliest or most festive holiday sweater 🎅
📅 Fri, Dec 19 — Cozy Up Day: Wear cozy holiday pajamas 💤

🍪 Desserts for Staff!
We’re collecting desserts for our teachers and staff to enjoy during their holiday lunch on Friday!
Desserts can be homemade or store-bought and may be dropped off in the front office anytime this week, up to and including Friday morning. Your sweet treats are always appreciated! 💛

💛 Honor PTA Volunteer Guidelines & Reminders 💙

Thank you for supporting our Honor Bobcats by volunteering your time! 🐾 Whether you’re helping during recess, events, or classroom activities — your time makes a difference.

Before volunteering, please take a moment to review these reminders based on East Central ISD and Texas PTA guidelines:

🔹 1. Complete the ECISD Volunteer Application/Training
All volunteers must complete the district’s VIP Volunteer Certification each school year before serving.

🔹 2. Bring Photo Identification
All volunteers must sign in at the front office with a government-issued photo ID and wear a volunteer badge while on campus.

🔹 3. Follow Campus and District Policies
Volunteers are expected to follow all campus procedures, including dress code, safety, and confidentiality guidelines.

🔹 4. PTA Membership Is Not Required
We welcome all parents, guardians, and community members to volunteer — you do not need to be a PTA member to participate!
