To cap off our weeklong Choir Marathon, the Rocket Choir was joined by members of the Woodlake Hills College Prep Choir to sing the National Anthem at the football game last night. It's always great to welcome future Rocket Choir singers into the choir room! Thanks so much for singing with us, Woodlake Hills College Prep Choir, and big thanks to their director, Mr. Perez for preparing them! 🚀🎶💗

It's been a busy week for the Rocket Choir Chorale Tenor Bass singers! They had a blast at the second annual JISD Tenor Bass Bash today at Veterans Memorial HS. These musicians combined with tenor bass choirs from all of the secondary campuses for a clinic led by each of the Tenor Bass choir directors, culminating in a concert at 12pm. The Rocket Choir opened the show with an encore performance of "The Gallant Knight" and ended with the traditional finale, "Lovely Day"! We are so proud of how you represented the Rocket Choir! Way to go! 🚀🎶💗

The Rocket Choir Fall Concert was a fantastic celebration of all the hard work and team building that's been going on in the choir room during the first 9 weeks of school. We loved performing for our families, friends, and teachers! Thanks so much to everyone who came out to support us. Extra thank you to the technical theatre department for keeping the show running, Mrs. Zaccagni for being the best accompanist in the world, and to our principal, Mr. Pawkett, for showing off his awesome cello skills with our combined Treble choirs on "Richer for Her". We hope you can make it to our next concert on December 7th! 🚀🎶💗

Today, 11 Rocket Choir singers went to Wagner HS to audition for the Texas Music Educators Association Region 11 Honor Choirs. Their hard work and dedication paid off! 6 singers earned chairs in the Mixed Choir with 4 earning chairs high enough to allow them to advance to the next round of auditions in November. 3 singers earned chairs in the Treble Choir and 2 students are alternates. Please help us congratulate these students' incredible accomplishments and save the date for the Region Honor Choir Concert on November 7th at East Central HS!
