Hello Oak Hill Junior High Parents/Guardians and Students,
On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, OHUSC will hold a synchronous eLearning day for all students. This is different from the previous asynchronous eLearning days the students have experienced during the 25-26 school year. All Indiana students are required by the Indiana Department of Education to meet “live” with their teachers on synchronous eLearning days after the allotted asynchronous eLearning days have been used by the school corporation. Students will still have assigned lessons that will need to be completed in Google Classroom. However, students will also be required to join their individual classroom teacher’s “live” class via Google Classroom. This means Oak Hill Junior High students will be required to meet “live” with all their classroom teachers from 9:10 AM-12:33 PM. Since students will be meeting synchronously, they will be required to have six 28 minute classes back to back. There will be a 7 minute passing period between classes. Students will access their classes through their classroom teacher’s Google Classroom. The students will need to access each teacher’s Google Classroom every time they switch class periods. Every classroom teacher will provide a link for each student to join their “live” classroom. Period 5 SRT will not meet on synchronous eLearning days. Families, it is important that students follow the schedule below and are logged on their Google classrooms for attendance purposes. Please note this schedule will apply to all synchronous eLearning days for the rest of the 25-26 school year.
Period 1: 9:10 AM - 9:38 AM (28 min)
Period 2: 9:45 AM - 10:13 AM (28 min)
Period 3: 10:20 AM - 10:48 AM (28 min)
Period 4: 10:55 AM - 11:23 AM (28 min)
Period 6: 11:30 AM - 11:58 AM (28 min)
Period 7: 12:05 PM - 12:33 PM (28 min)
It is the expectation for each student to be logged onto the Google Meet scheduled for each class period. The teacher will be available for the entire 28 minutes each period. If your student experiences issues, it is imperative that he or she emails the teacher immediately during the class time. Attendance is required and will be taken each class period.
