If there's one thing I never skip when I practice yoga is cat-cow in the warm-up. Which variation do you prefer? Classic, with fingertips facing the back of the mat, on the forearms, or with knees off the mat?

Good old shoulder flossing... such a great shoulder mobility exercise! Don't have a yoga strap? No worries! You can use a band, a towel, or even a broomstick instead.
I always recommend yogis to prep their body before practicing intense yoga poses, but if there is one asana I really suggest yogis not to just drop into is pigeon pose (kapotasana - not to be confused with single-legged pigeon pose). It requires a ton of flexibility, strength, and mobility!
I'm aware that social media tend to show only a very flamboyant version of asana practice, but it shouldn't be like this.
Pause, breathe, and soften. Strength is not in holding everything tight, it is in knowing when to release. The more you soften, the more your body opens and responds.
