Meet the Coaches Nights were a HUGE success this week at Cibolo Creek Middle School, Kitty Hawk Middle School, Woodlake Hills Middle School Kirby Middle School! 🏐 🏀🏃‍♂️🏃🏽‍♀️🏈⚽️🎾

We loved seeing so many of our families come out, meet their coaches, learn more about the upcoming season, and get excited for another great year of middle school athletics! 💪🏽🔥

The energy is high, our athletes are ready, and we’re just getting started!

Delay doesn’t mean denied! 💍🏀❤️

Today we finally got to celebrate our 2024-2025 Judson High School Unified Basketball State Champions with the championship rings they worked so hard to earn. It may have taken a little longer than expected, but this moment was absolutely worth the wait!

A huge thank you to Walsh Gallegos for generously sponsoring the championship rings. Your support helped make this day even more special for our student-athletes.

We also appreciate JISD Board Member Ms. Kenyor, Cabinet Member Mrs. Davis, and Acting Superintendent Ms. Dixon for taking the time to stop by and celebrate with our champions. It meant so much to our students to have you there.

Congratulations again to our Unified Basketball team! We are incredibly proud of everything you’ve accomplished this season. Enjoy those rings you’ve earned every bit of them! ❤️💍🏆

Today was a proud day for Judson ISD Athletics!

Four and a half years ago, we launched our MAD Campaign—Making A Difference—with one goal in mind: to teach our student-athletes that true leadership is measured not only by what they accomplish in competition , but by how they serve others. Community service has become a cornerstone of our mission to develop Future Ready Leaders.

That same year we began supporting the incredible work of SA Sports through their iPlay program. What started as a partnership has grown into a culture of service for our coaches and student-athletes.

Last year, San Antonio Sports asked me to identify a district leader who could help expand our volunteer efforts. Choosing that person was easy. Coach Theresa Urbanovsky has poured her heart into this work, and because of her leadership, Judson ISD Athletics was recognized today as the 2026 Volunteer School District Partner of the Year.

This award belongs to every coach and every student-athlete who has given their time to serve our community. You have shown what Ubuntu truly means:

“I am because we are.”

Service isn’t something we do—it’s who we are.

Thank you to San Antonio Sports for believing in our students and providing opportunities for them to make a lasting impact.

I couldn’t be prouder to lead a department that continues to be a shining light for our district and our community. Congratulations, Coach Urbanovsky, and thank you to every coach and student-athlete who chooses to make a difference every day.
