What an incredible first week of school!

Our very first day set the tone for an amazing year ahead. We kicked things off with PBIS activities, heading outside for awesome team-building games that brought out big smiles and great sportsmanship.

The excitement continued as students gathered in their Houses for their first official meeting of the year! Each House got right to work:
-- Picking a House "theme song" that perfectly fits their unique spirit
-- Brainstorming creative PBIS activities and rewards they want to see this year
-- Electing their new House Leaders to guide them throughout the school year

Seeing our students collaborate, support one another, and bring so much energy during week one was truly inspiring. We are so proud of how well everyone adjusted and jumped right into our school culture.

If week one was any indication, this is going to be an unforgettable year. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the school year has in store for us!

Thursday night was a great one for Pirate athletics!

Varsity volleyball earned its first win of the season in three sets over Fayette. Brystol Fitzwater had 32 assists, and Kenzie Searfoss had 17 kills.

CHS volleyball improved their record to 1-2.

The boys' soccer team also nabbed their first victory of 2026 with a 3-1 win over Ottawa-Glandorf.

Grady Dirr led the Pirates with two goals assisted by Hunter Varner. Hunter Varner, with an assist from Karson Varner, brought the third Continental goal. Reid Tegenkamp had three saves.

The Pirates improve to 1-0-1.

Finally, in girls' soccer action, CHS opened their season with a 4-0 shutout of Delphos Jefferson. First half goals came from Bella Okuley with an assist from Danielle Clementz and Addie Troyer, unassisted. In the second half, Clementz scored with an assist from Troyer, and Okuley scored a second goal, assisted by Clementz.

The Lady Pirates are 1-0-0.

The varsity volleyball season began this week with Kenzie Searfoss reaching her 1000th career dig Monday versus Arlington.

The Lady Pirates fell in three sets to Arlington and also to Patrick Henry Tuesday and now have a 0-2 record.

Continental boys' soccer opened the 2026 season with a 2-2 tie against Bath.

Paxton Wilson scored the Pirates' first goal, and Walker Okuley, with an assist from Collin Hammond, added the second.

Reid Tegenkamp had five saves.
