Color and Emotion
When I first started working on my new book I put together a list of genres I wanted to cover.
I was excited about some more than others… but the abstract pieces became quiet favorites.
Abstract is difficult for me. I can pour my soul into a painting of pine trees along a winding road but these felt incredibly vulnerable.
Every single one is going to be a tutorial but I am making sure to encourage you to make it your own. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Fluid Motion
How do you explain to someone that the lines create themselves and the colors appear as they decide?
Geometry and Line
My architecture professors always wanted us to have a reason for each line, shape, and color. But what if it just felt right as I went along? What if I sat back and allowed my intuition to tell me where things went?
Nature Reimagined
This one was fun. It really gave me an appreciation for acrylic paint and how quickly it dries blending each layer can be difficult when you’re trying not to mess up the one before.
