“Numeracy and literacy are important, but learning is also a vehicle to help people recover and regain what is most critical to them – their own dignity, self-esteem, and respect for the other,” comments Secretary General of the International Federated Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Elhadj As Sy, guest speaker at the 16th Education Fast Forward Debate (EFF16), streamed live from the Education World Forum in London and hosted by Programme Director Gavin D***s. The Secretary General explained that he shared his perspectives from a humanitarian context because it is in crisis situations where learning is more critical than it ever was before.
Our voices in The Global Search for Education this month, including Thana Faroq, Gabriel Sanchez Zinny, Tracy Burns, Felix Bernstein, Michael Trucano, Jon Harman and Jim Wynn, shared profound insights into the art world, the growing opportunities afforded by new technology, the lessons learned in observing street life, and strategies to revolutionize education in order to realize in our children the promises of life-long learning. And listen up Silicon Valley – our Top 12 Global Teachers have also shared their top tips on designing software for the world’s classrooms.

Our expertise is educational technology implementation and staff development to help schools become Future Ready. Our expertise is educational technology implementation and staff development around Google Apps for Education and increasing student engagement through modern tools.

Every partner and associate of Techs4Tex has a background in public education. When we help you develop and implement a plan, it's not a prescription created from within a corporate office; instead it's a set of individualized opportunities created specifically for your organization designed with the end in mind, which is always success for your teachers and students.

Hey All Y'all! (thx Shake Up Learning)
Wow! The digital instruction landscape has changed tremendously in the last 8 years! We are glad is at the forefront of making "professional development" affordable, understandable, engaging, and FUN!

We can't all be Future Ready Librarians (thx Shannon Miller) but we CAN help our sts become because there are so many choices now! There's PD in your PJs, Goo in the Loo, "in-district" & area conferences, video conferences, REAL books, FB groups, & the always relevant TCEA & ISTE!

The Techs4Tex Folks want to take some time to work with some Fresh Thoughts (thx Tom Spall & @meredithakers) on helping educators prepare sts. for their future, so we are going to focus our energy on future opportunities to serve the education community, rather than putting energy into our next Texas Google Summit. We definitely appreciate all the volunteers, presenters, and featured speakers at our events!

In the meantime, don't forget to Ditch That Textbook, (thx Matt Miller) and enjoy all the opportunities to learn that are available! After all, Kids Deserve It(thx Todd Nesloney)

Oh... btw look for us this weekend on Twitter and Instagram- we'll be continuing our work with

Saturday was a great day to be a Country Girl! We hosted girls from small school districts between Austin and the Houston area for a day of learning html, css, and hearing about great opportunities for careers in technology! Everything around us has a technology element to it, so learning to program is a great way to have job security and economic freedom! We were grateful for Inventive Group, GTS Technology Solutions, Mutual Mobile, Outdoor Voices, Citizens State Bank (Brenham), Kountry Boy Sausage, WalMart, AustiNuts, and IBM, who provided support for our day!

So think about your best Googley lessons and submit a proposal to our 6th annual Summit!

Want to give a high school girl a "first look" at a great career? Use your super powers for good and donate to our "Country Girls Can Code 2018" event!

Developing programming skills give girls economic opportunities and give tech companies diversity in their workforce- and helps robots get a well-rounded education!
