Techs4Tex is happy to provide scholarships to 4 students this year,
as a final opportunity to serve the education community.
We're proud of the work that Techs4Tex has done in the past 10 years to put our passion into action.
As our members move on to new projects, we are grateful for the
new experiences, friends, and colleagues that were part of our
Techs4Tex, Texas Google Summit, and Country Girls Code events.
We had a lot of fun, too!
Thank YOU!

Hey All Y'all! (thx Shake Up Learning)
Wow! The digital instruction landscape has changed tremendously in the last 8 years! We are glad is at the forefront of making "professional development" affordable, understandable, engaging, and FUN!

We can't all be Future Ready Librarians (thx Shannon Miller) but we CAN help our sts become because there are so many choices now! There's PD in your PJs, Goo in the Loo, "in-district" & area conferences, video conferences, REAL books, FB groups, & the always relevant TCEA & ISTE!

The Techs4Tex Folks want to take some time to work with some Fresh Thoughts (thx Tom Spall & ) on helping educators prepare sts. for their future, so we are going to focus our energy on future opportunities to serve the education community, rather than putting energy into our next Texas Google Summit. We definitely appreciate all the volunteers, presenters, and featured speakers at our events!

In the meantime, don't forget to Ditch That Textbook, (thx Matt Miller) and enjoy all the opportunities to learn that are available! After all, Kids Deserve It(thx Todd Nesloney)

Oh... btw look for us this weekend on Twitter and Instagram- we'll be continuing our work with

Saturday was a great day to be a Country Girl! We hosted girls from small school districts between Austin and the Houston area for a day of learning html, css, and hearing about great opportunities for careers in technology! Everything around us has a technology element to it, so learning to program is a great way to have job security and economic freedom! We were grateful for Inventive Group, GTS Technology Solutions, Mutual Mobile, Outdoor Voices, Citizens State Bank (Brenham), Kountry Boy Sausage, WalMart, AustiNuts, and IBM, who provided support for our day!
