Senior Spotlight: Brooklyn Matthews' favorite verse is 2 Cor. 12:19, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me." Brooklyn's extracurricular activities have included Key Club, National Honor Society, and playing volleyball and basketball. She was awarded the Presidential Scholarship by Austin College where she recently signed to play basketball. Among other achievements, this year she scored her one thousandth point during her high school career. Her parents share that during her time at CCS, she has especially grown in her faith and confidence. Congratulations, Brooklyn, and may God bless you!

Senior Spotlight: Caleb Martin's favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Caleb's extracurricular activities have included National Honor Society, Key Club, Student Council, and playing football and golf. Among other awards, this year he was named 1st Team All-District, All-State Center, and Academic All-State in Varsity Football. He plans to attend Texas A&M University in the fall. Senior Spotlight: Lindsey Lewis' favorite verse is Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God...” Lindsey's extracurricular activities have included National Honor Society, Student Council, Key Club, modeling with First Models and Talent, and youth group. She plans to attend Texas A&M in the fall. Her parents share that during her time at CCS she has especially grown in her faith and relationship with God. Brooklyn Mathews signed to play basketball for Austin College during a special ceremony on Wednesday, April 27th. We are so proud of Brooklyn excited to watch her play next season! 🏀

Senior Spotlight: Elijah Iverson's favorite verse is I Corinthians 16:13, "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong." Elijah's extracurricular activities have included playing varsity football, varsity track, and volunteering at a local homeless shelter. He has represented CCS well in athletics, competing in the state finals for track and field. He plans to attend a Bible college in the fall before beginning EMT training and the Fire Academy. Senior Spotlight: Cayden DeRamus' favorite Bible verses are Isaiah 40:29-31, "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint..." Cayden's extra-curricular activities included weight-training, Jiu Jitsu, and playing Varsity Football. Cayden won Silver at the Pan Ams Jiu Jitsu Tournament in 2019. His parents are proud of how he increased in his spirituality, knowledge, and faith in the Lord while at Covenant. Cayden will attend college in the fall.
