The Montgomery County Food Bank Needs Our Help! As we all know, the Coronavirus pandemic has caused the loss of income to many families in our area. The Montgomery County Food Bank has been there for many of these families by providing more than 35,000 meals per month. However, the Food Bank is feeling the pressure caused by this situation, and is in need of our assistance. For this reason, your Mission Ministry Team has decided to make the Montgomery County Food Bank the recipient for all funds donated during our annual “Mission Sunday Special Offering” on Sunday, November 15th. As we expect that more donations will be made by mail rather than in-person, please include “Food Bank donation” on your check. You may either mail the check, drop it by the church office, or donate via credit card through the church website at www.fpcconroe.org/give. Thanks and blessings to you for your help.
So this just happened ~ congratulations Bryce ~ She said "YES!"
The grounds of the church are beautiful with the pumpkins and other decorations for the Pumpkin Patch. Stop by one day and see it. Take your own photos.
Sign up for WNL Drive Thru Meal today. So that we have an idea of how many we should plan to serve, please sign up online or through the church office at (936) 756-8884.
On September 30th, we will kick off our Fall WNL program with Bible studies and fellowship, but not before having a wonderful meal of shepherd’s pie that will be served at 5:30 p.m. With the current distancing requirements, we will not only provide a meal on campus, but will also conduct a contactless drive-thru option. As always, meals are free for children under the age of 12 and adults over the age of 75. For everyone else, we ask the usual $4 per meal and that you come with the correct change to simplify the process. If you would prefer to pay online, please go to www.fpcconroe.org, select the Give page and indicate that you are paying for your WNL meals. So that we have an idea of how many we should plan to serve, please sign up online or through the church office at (936) 756-8884.https://fpcconroe.org/wnl_meal_form We will also be hosting our first MD Anderson Blood Drive. If you choose to participate, please make an appointment using the information shown here or through the link provided on our website. Donors will receive refreshments and a donor shirt from MD Anderson. This opportunity is open to the whole community, so be sure and tell your friends about this awesome way to help those in need. https://www.mdandersonbloodbank.org/index.cfm?group=op&step=2&opid=9925&opidh=DAB4709099D51737703DA51167D6CD73&idt=44074.5598611

Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) group of believers in Conroe, Texas! First Presbyterian Church is for people like you, a congregation from all walks of life.

Young, old, and those in-between are a part of this community of believers. We strive for a deeper relationship with our Lord and with one another through worship, fellowship, education and service. Opportunities abound for you to become involved in the life of this congregation. On September 2, 2001, the first services were held in the new church building. The 30,000-square-foot facility had been planned for five years. A ground-breaking ceremony was held on Father's Day in June, 2000. Stained glass windows, dating back to 1939, were removed from the previous site on San Jacinto Street, Conroe, and installed in the present structure, incorporating the old with the new. Entry to the First Presbyterian Day School, founded in 1972, is west of the church entrance. SUNDAY MORNINGS Traditional services at 9:00 and 11:00 in the sanctuary. Sunday school for all ages at 10:00.

Mission: As followers of Jesus Christ, we make, equip, and send disciples.

Happy All Saints Day!

"I am reminded of the biblical use of the term saint in the book of Acts. That it applies to each of us. All who are attempting to imitate the Christ in their lives merit the title of 'saint.' Some do it more fully than others and are willing to let go of more to get the job done."
— Matthew Fox in Confessions

"Keep in mind that our community is not composed of those who are already saints, but of those who are trying to become saints. Therefore let us be extremely patient with each other's faults and failures."
— Mother Teresa quoted in Mother Teresa: No Greater Love edited by Becky Benenate and Joseph Durepos
