Conroe Family Medicine Residency Program

Preparing tomorrow's family medicine professionals and home to Lone Star Family Health Center. Our first three residents graduated in June 1985.

The Conroe Family Medicine Residency Program was formed in 1979 as the Montgomery County Medical Education Foundation by a group of physicians who were interested in developing and establishing a Family Medicine residency program in Montgomery County. Affiliated with the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston from 1983-1994 and with the University of Texas Medical Branch from 1994-2000, the program is now sponsored by Conroe Medical Education Foundation and is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and by the American Osteopathic Association. The program has been very successful, and of note our program was reviewed by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education in 2011 and by the AOA in 2012 and was awarded the status of continued full accreditation for five years by both organizations. This, along with our outstanding pass rate on the Board Certification Examination offered by the American Board of Family Medicine, is an outstanding statement about the quality of training our residents receive.

We had the honor of connecting with area churches about our services at the Tomball Regional Health Foundation’s inaugural Pastor’s Breakfast yesterday.✨🎉

Our newest location in Magnolia offers family medicine and dental services with high-quality, compassionate healthcare to our neighbors. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, most private insurance and cash payments as well as a Sliding Fee Discount Program.

Lone Star Family Health Center celebrated the ribbon-cutting of our new Magnolia location with the Southwest Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce! ✂️🎀

We are proud to expand access to quality, compassionate health care for individuals and families throughout Magnolia. This new location represents an exciting step forward in our mission to make health care accessible to everyone in the communities we serve.
