Some of the crests and logos are really outstanding so this page is dedicated to them and their achievements. A rudis was given to a gladiator who had been granted his freedom. His freedom could be obtained if a gladiator bravely distinguished himself in a particular fight or, at some periods during Roman history, had won five fights. The symbol of freedom was a wooden sword called a rudis.
