This month's Next Generation Leadership session offered students lots of tips on how to smoothly transition to college, and included Q&A with former NGL students! In addition, business coach Tracey Casey-Arnold shared the importance of leaders giving back. She challenged students to compete for their charity of choice. Thanks, Tracey, for blessing CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County, Inc. with a trunk full of toys!

Thanks to the exceptional volunteers who helped us wrap Career Connections at Oak Ridge High School for the semester! We are grateful for Career & College Counselor Ms. Gibson for coordinating the student side!

Go Texan Week has meant career fairs, a career panel, mock interviews, and a resume workshop for the EfTA team! We are so thankful for the volunteers who spent time sharing career wisdom at Conroe, Grand Oaks, Oak Ridge, and The Woodlands High Schools, as well as York Junior High!

The quote of the day today at Conroe High School was, "I want to hire people who can communcate. That includes listening to understand rather than just respond."

Thanks to The Woodlands Country Club for welcoming EfTA as one of the 2023 Charity Classic partners! Thanks too to the supporters that joined us on the course on Friday!

For our final episode of Season 7 of the What I Wish I Knew Podcast, Corinne speaks with Summer Hvasta, Senior Customer Service Specialist for the San Jacinto River Authority SJRA. Summer received a bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She worked in the hospitality industry for 13 years prior to joining SJRA in November 2021. I think Summer's episode is a great one to end on because her pieces of advice to her younger self wraps up this whole season nicely. "Don't be too serious, lessons will come from your mistakes, it's okay not to be the smartest person in the room, and it's okay to have fun!"
We hope you enjoy this episode!
