Dear Janene,

We did it. 💙💚

Tomorrow, the doors of Janene Fowler Intermediate will open for the very first time, and our Falcons will finally fill the hallways of the school that so proudly carries your name.

I wish you could see it.

I wish you could see the classrooms ready for students, the Falcon pride throughout the building, and the incredible JFI Family who has poured their hearts into making this school a place where children will feel safe, loved, challenged, and celebrated.

Most of all, I wish you could be standing beside me tomorrow morning when our very first Falcons walk through those doors.

But I know you will be here.

You will be here in every child who discovers something they didn’t know they could do. You will be here in every teacher who goes the extra mile. You will be here in the laughter that fills our hallways, the learning that happens in our classrooms, and especially in the JOY we choose to create every single day.

Tomorrow, we officially begin the work of honoring your incredible legacy, and I promise you, Janene, we will honor it well.

There will be lots of learning.
Lots of laughter.
Lots of love.
And because it wouldn’t be Fowler without you, there will be LOTS and LOTS of JOY. 💚

Happy National Intern Day! Today, we proudly celebrate the conclusion of the 2026 Student Internship Program, a summer filled with learning, growth, and incredible opportunities.

Students, thank you for showing up each day eager to learn, embracing new challenges, and representing yourselves, your schools, and our community so well. You impressed your mentors with your professionalism, curiosity, and willingness to grow, and we can't wait to see where your journeys take you next!

Thanks to our outstanding internship hosts, more than 240 high school seniors gained over 19,000 hours of hands-on workplace experience. Thank you for encouraging students to explore careers, develop professional skills, and build confidence for their future!
