Good evening, N-CMS Red Devil Family!
Here are your announcements for the week of August 24-28, 2026.
Welcome back! We are excited to kick off the 2026–2027 school year. Thank you to everyone who attended our parent information meeting and Open House last week—we had a fantastic turnout! A special welcome to all of our new students and incoming 6th graders joining the Red Devil family. Monday, August 24 is the first day of school.
Arrival & Drop-Off Safety
Doors Open: 7:10 a.m. | School Starts: 7:40 a.m.
Safety Reminder: Please do not drop students off before 7:10 a.m., as staff supervision is not available prior to that time.
Please avoid parking to walk your child into the building, as this creates a safety hazard in the drop-off line.
School Dismissal: School dismisses at 2:50 p.m. Car riders must be picked up no later than 3:30 p.m.
Sign Outs: There are no student sign-outs past 2:30 p.m.
Bus Transportation
Please have your student at their bus stop early during the first few days of school. Many pickup routes begin around 6:15 a.m.
Buses may run late initially as routes are ironed out—thank you for your patience with our drivers!
School administration will visit each classroom on Monday to review bus information and confirm how every student is getting home.
Athletics
Cross Country Tryouts: Monday & Tuesday. Students trying out should meet Mr. Earp at the front picnic tables.
Boys Soccer Tryouts: August 24, 25, and 26 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Clubs & Activities
Yearbook Club: Interested 8th-grade students can pick up an application from Mrs. Reese in Room 110 during homeroom.
Fantasy Football Club: Open to all grade levels! Stop by Mr. Caldwell's room (Room 212) to pick up a permission slip. Completed permission slips are required to join.
