FREE SHOES! Shoes 4 the Shoeless is here with about 2,000 pairs of shoes! They will provide FREE shoes, socks, and hygiene products at the CHS Fieldhouse today. Flood-affected families may attend from 10–11 a.m., followed by all community residents from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Please share and help us spread the word!

This is a friendly reminder that Wednesday, September 23, will be an asynchronous learning day. Students will not attend school in person; instead, they will complete assigned work independently from home.

For students in grades K–6 who do not have an assigned device, learning packets will be sent home in advance. Students should complete the activities included in those packets per teacher instructions.

Students in grades 7–12 will access their assignments and instructional content through the online platforms designated by CMS and CHS.

The Whitewater Career Center will still conduct in-person classes on this day. WCC students should report to WCC as normal. Please communicate with the WCC office if you are unable to get to school.

Little Spartans Preschool students in Title One and Head Start will have asynchronous packets like our K-6 students.

Attendance will be recorded based upon completion of work by communicated deadlines.

Please encourage your child to complete all assigned work and submit it according to their teachers’ instructions. Additional information will be shared by your child’s school or teachers as needed.

An updated Corporation Calendar reflecting changes based upon our missed days due to the flood will be communicated after our October 13th School Board meeting.

What can happen in one year? At Grandview Elementary, ILEARN proficiency increased across grades 3–6 after one year of using Vimme Learning.

📈 3rd Grade: +16.7 points
📈 4th Grade: +18.3 points
📈 5th Grade: +22.2 points
📈 6th Grade: +16.2 points

That’s an average increase of 18.35 percentage points across grades 3–6.

These numbers represent more than a test score. They represent students making progress, teachers doing the work every day, and a school seeing that work reflected in measurable results.
