Last day shenanigans!

Through tears we are wishing all of our now THIRD GRADERS the best summer break. Next year is more new than we are used to but together we will will adjust and adjust well.

ENJOY some sun and making memories, Class of 2033!

Oh my! 2nd graders have grown so much this year. Hopefully they feel like they learned a lot and had a little fun while they were at it. We will truly miss this bunch of great students. We wish you all the best in third grade.

So much excitement in 2nd grade!

Praying Mantis Egg sacs and Swallowtail butterfly release!

A huge shout out to Ms. Larr for bringing in our latest life cycle project! Did you know that contrary to popular belief, praying mantis’s are not endangered, but very common. 2nd grade learned a lot of cool facts about these interesting insects. We hope the egg sacs hatch soon.

The swallowtail butterflies we released survived their long diapause over winter and looked happy to taste the nectar on the apple trees.

2nd grade was busy celebrating earth day. Mrs. Mitchell’s class went and picked up trash around the school. Mrs. St. Clair’s class made seed bombs to hopefully add more pollinators to the area. Both classes are watching their tadpoles go through their life cycle. Our other plants are growing quickly and we are watching our black swallowtail chrysalis’s and hoping for them to emerge after their long diapause. So much fun in 2nd grade!
