Garden Day is Coming!

We’re excited to share that our 4th grade teachers, Mrs. Fisher and Mrs. Mehalick, will be hosting an All-School Garden Day on Tuesday, May 19!

Throughout the day, each grade will spend time in the garden helping with weeding, filling garden beds with soil, and planting seeds and vegetables as we prepare for the growing season. Students will also have a blast participating in fun relay games!

We’re looking for parent volunteers to help with a lemonade stand and assist with the relay games. If you’re interested in helping, we’d love your support in making this a fun and memorable day for our students! Here is the link to sign up: https://signup.com/go/MMMOHAA

Our annual Field Day, hosted by our Physical Education teacher, Mr. Hermanns, will be held on Friday, May 22! This is always a fun and memorable day for our students, and we would love your help to make it a success.

We are currently looking for parent volunteers to assist throughout the day. Field Day will be split into two sessions:
Morning Session: Grades 1–3
Afternoon Session: Grades 4–6

Please note that all volunteers must have current clearances on file with the district to participate in this in-school event. If you have any questions about clearance requirements, please contact building secretary Carol Ragland (717-872-9535) for assistance.

🌱 Summer Garden Care Volunteers Needed!

Our school garden is growing beautifully thanks to all the hard work our students put in this year—and now we need your help to keep it thriving over the summer!

We are looking for families to sign up for one week to help care for the garden. During your week, we ask that you:

🌿 W**d the garden beds

🥕 Pick any ripe vegetables (feel free to take them home or place them in the cooler by the shed to share!)

💧 Good news—there is no need to water the garden! Tudbinks generously installed an irrigation system for us, so that part is already taken care of.

This is a great way to stay connected, enjoy some time outdoors, and help us maintain a space our students are so proud of. 💚

The garden will continue to be an important part of learning when students return in the fall, as it will be used for various classroom activities and lessons—so your help now truly makes a difference!

Thank you for helping us take care of the garden our students worked so hard on—we couldn’t do it without you!
