🔥STOP * DROP * and ROLL🔥

NEXT WEEK is our fire prevention week at MLC! ( technically it’s really this week, but due to so many kids out sick, we’re learning a week late🙃)

We can’t wait to do some fun activities, and even get a visit from the 🚒!

Today our kiddos had fun using Q-tips to paint and decorate leaves for our fall tree in the entry hall! 🍂🎨

As they created, we talked about the beautiful colors of fall, red, orange, and yellow. We practiced recognizing each color along the way. ❤️🧡💛

Unfortunately we were missing a few kiddos today so we have to wait for those kiddos to finish their leaves so that we can put all our leaves together. We can’t wait to see our fall tree come together with all of their colorful creations! 🍁

This week we tried some sponge painting to create some fun apple trees! When they were finished they got to be hung in their art gallery frames in our front room. So much fun! 🧽🎨🫟

Today we made chunky cinnamon applesauce! Kids took turns helping peel apples, and got to stir our apple sauce as it cooked! When it came to taste testing a few of them were a little afraid to try it due to it chunky texture and dark cinnamon color, but those who did thought it was so yummy!

Hands on learning is the best! 🍎🍏

Today we tried different kinds of apples… (red delicious, Granny Smiths and pink lady’s). The class consensus was that the green ones weren’t their favorites for sure, but they sure did make some adorable sour faces on these kiddos. 🍏

Also note that these kids (except Sutton) sure do LOVE some Peanut butter on their apples!! 🤪
