Today was the last day that His Little Lambs Child Development Center is open. I would like to thank the parents and grandparents of the surrounding communities and of Concordia for letting Miss Janis (mom) and I be a part of your children's lives!!! I would like to thank the community for all the support you have given us. There have been many children's lives that God has blessed us to be a part of. They are having an open house for Miss Janis in the back room of the St. Paul's Parish Office this afternoon from 3:30-5:30. If you have a few minutes I know she would love to see some of the families that she helped care for and helped grow their faith in Christ!!!! Thanks

Wow I sure wish some parents and teachers would understand that children are learning by playing!!!! It is very important to learn how to problem solve, and interact with others. Stop pushing your children at such an early age to read and write!!! Some parents don't even realize that Kindergarten is not mandatory in the state of Missouri!! What good is all the book smarts in the world if you have no common sense and can't interact with others, or solve your own problems? I love working with children and teaching them at such a young age!!!

Play is good for the brain! It teaches children how to problem solve and interact with others. Plus, all of that running, jumping, and twirling is good for the body.

I know some parents are aware that my Grandma (Janis's mom) had 3 strokes and is in the hospital and is not doing well. Janis has gone to Tennessee to be with her, and we are not sure when she will be back. If you need to talk to someone about care for your child please call the center 463-7782. Please do NOT email or text her, we do not have access to these things. Please make sure we know of your child schedule asap so we can make sure we are staffed and able to care for your child. Parents of School-Age Children: Please be sure your child wears a red shirt and tennis shoes for tomorrow's field trip!
If your child needs to eat breakfast have them to the center by 7:30a.m., if they do not please have them there by 7:45a.m.

Parents of School-Age Children: We will be going swimming on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Field trip to Moon Marble is on Thursday. If your child needs to eat have them there by 7:30a.m. If they do not need to eat have them there by 7:45a.m. The bus will be leaving at 8a.m. Please have your child wear a red shirt and tennis shoes!

Parents of School-Age Children: We have added another field trip! We will be going to the Moon Marble Factory in Bonner Springs, KS on July 24. I will be putting permission slips in their mailboxes tomorrow, so please sign and return them ASAP! If there are any parents that would be willing to go along, we would greatly appreciate your help! The preschoolers made 4th of July spirit sticks this week!!!! Something they can play with and cheer with while they are watching the fireworks. Fireworks are not very safe for little ones!!! Thank you Miss Rebekah for helping me get these done with the kids!!!

Yesterday, Debbie Brackman from Pioneer Trails RPC & Region F Solid Waste Management District, came to show us how worms help recycle our trash. The children enjoyed helping make a worm bin, and then holding the worms!!! Thanks Debbie
