On Tuesday, July 28, the CHS German Club celebrated its 20th Anniversary Stammtisch! In Germany, a Stammtisch is a table reserved for "the regulars," and our CHS tradition began in the summer of 2006 when students returned from the German American Partnership Program (GAPP) in Germany and wanted to continue practicing their conversational German in an authentic setting.

For the past 20 years, Stammtisch has continued during school vacations, celebrating language learning, cultural exchange, and lasting friendships. The 20th anniversary gathering included current CHS German students, recently returned GAPP participants, CHS German and GAPP alumni, and German-speaking community members.

A special "Danke!" to Cheers NH for hosting us throughout the years!

From June 21st to July 15th, students in the German American Partnership Program (GAPP) participated in an exchange with Maximilian Kolbe Gymnasium in Wegberg, Germany.

Over 3.5 weeks, students experienced life as a German teenager, explored a wide variety of local sites, spent a week in Berlin, and improved their language skills. They also navigated new international friendships and became more comfortable living with cultural differences. Of course, they also had a lot of fun!

Our students were excellent ambassadors of CHS and we are so proud of them for their flexibility, humor, and willingness to try new things. Vielen Dank to Herr Matt Bodwell, of Milton Middle School in VT in Vermont and CHS/GAPP alumnus, for filling in for Frau Coughlin!

Big congratulations to Jessamyn Rockwell! 🎉

Governor Kelly Ayotte recognized Jessamyn, Concord High School’s Extended Learning Opportunities Coordinator, during Early College Month for her incredible work expanding access to Early College opportunities. Thanks to her efforts, more Concord students can earn college credit while still in high school.

Early College, offered by the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH), provides opportunities for high school students to earn college credit at low or no cost to New Hampshire families.

Hello CHS Families!! It's Sam, Patrick, Curtis, Jayden, and Bricen again. Today, Gus got to take a tour of our school and meet even more fun faces! He even took over Ms. Colby's job, letting people into the building! He put everyone's job on paws🐾.

Thank you for following along with Gus' adventures, and his ability to make everyone's day a little less ruff! 🐕🦴

Have an amazing day CHS Families!
