This week, I had the privilege of participating in the TMSA Summer Leadership Retreat alongside an incredible group of leaders from across North Carolina. It is always inspiring to collaborate with dedicated educators who share a common mission: ensuring every student has access to a high-quality education and the opportunities they deserve.

What makes the TMSA network so special is its grassroots, organic growth. Our success is built on strong relationships, a commitment to excellence, and a shared belief that all children can thrive. Together, we spent time reflecting on our accomplishments, learning from one another, and planning for an even stronger year ahead.

I am grateful to work beside leaders who are passionate about supporting students, families, and staff while continuing to strengthen the culture and academic excellence that define our schools. The future is bright for TMSA, and I am excited to bring new ideas, renewed energy, and a continued focus on student success back to our school community.

📚⛺ Yesterday, we truly put the “camp” in Summer Camp! ⛺📚

Our Reading Summer Camp students enjoyed a special “Little Light Reading” experience as they curled up with great books in their very own campsites set up throughout the gymnasium. With tents, flashlights, and plenty of imagination, our campers transformed reading time into an exciting adventure.

Experiences like these help foster a love of reading while creating memories that make learning fun and engaging. We are proud of our students for continuing to grow as readers throughout the summer and for embracing every opportunity to learn.

A special thank you to our staff for creating such a creative and meaningful experience for our campers. The joy, excitement, and smiles throughout the gym were a wonderful reminder that reading can take us anywhere!
