Studio Policies and Rules
Our policies and rules are put into place for reasons, so they must be followed. Any issues with classes, charges, and many other subject
s are handled directly following the policies that are stated here. Please familiarize yourself with our studio policies and rules before attending or signing up for any classes. By signing up for classes you are implying that you have read and understand our studio policies. Every student is required to have a credit card on file at all times, failure to do so can have your account blocked and or suspended. Posting negative reviews without contacting studio admin or managers will result in an automatic suspension to studio access. Auto-Pay/Contract Charge Policy
Any charge you have committed to through a contract is your responsibility. Please keep your billing information up to date. These are installment payments and will be treated as such. Any card decline or transaction that does not go through on the clients end will result in a 20% fee of the amount owed. This fee will be added to the charge that was owed, and will be resolved before the student is allowed to take any more classes. Failed auto pay fees will result in a flat $15 fee. Late Policy
We suggest students arrive slightly earlier than their scheduled classes start time. This allows for time to change, check in, etc. If you arrive more than 5 minutes late to a class, we reserve the right to give your spot away to another student. If we give your spot away to another student because of your arriving late, you will not be allowed to take the class, and won’t be refunded for the class. If you arrive up to 5 minutes late, please come in quietly, stretch out on your own and join the class. We will not be able to go over anything the class has already taught or explained for you. If all stretching has been missed it becomes unsafe for you to take the class due to improperly stretching. Cancellation Policy
At Spin Sity, we have a 24-hour cancellation policy for our classes. As long as you cancel the class 24 hours before the class, you will not lose that class. The class fee will go back on your account and you can use it for a different class. If you cancel a class less than 24 hours in advance, you will be charged a $20 cancellation fee. This fee cannot be taken from one of your discounted class passes. If you no-show to a scheduled class, you will be charged a $20 fee AND have the class count as one of the classes off your package. There are no refunds on late cancellation charges. Our cancellation/no-show policy applies to ALL classes, including discounted, online deals, and free classes. By not showing up or canceling less than 24 hours in advance, you are keeping another student from being able to attend that class, which is why the fee is in place. For our Pole Parties, we require a 7 day notice to cancel a party. Any deposit that was made towards booking your party might be able to be transferred to a replacement date ( if you were able to give us the 7 day notice). If you cancel less than 7 days prior to your scheduled party, we retain your payment entirely. If a party was booked through a promotional deal, and is cancelled less than 7 days in advance, we reserve the right to void the value. For Private Lessons, cancellations less than 24 hours will result in the loss of the private lesson. Private lessons are booked outside normal class scheduling and less than 24 hours cannot be rescheduled. Walking out of a lesson, or party is considered the same as a late cancel and will be treated as such. WaitList Policy
When classes are full, you can sign up and be placed on a waitlist. There are incidents where a student cancels, making an available spot for someone who is on the waitlist. When a student cancels their class within our 24-hour cancellation period, you may receive an automatic email notifying you that you are no longer on the waitlist, because you have been added to the class. If you are added into the class, you will be responsible for the same 24-hour notice cancellation terms that are used for a regularly scheduled class. With signing up for a waitlist, your commitment to come to the class is held until the classes start time. When you secure a spot on the waitlist, you are confirming that you will be available should a spot come up, and will be held to the same policies and rules that apply to normal class sign-ups. If you are not sure if you will make it, please remove yourself from the waitlist, because if you do end up being added, you can still be charged a cancellation fee if you no-show. Refunds and Transfers
Class passes and contracts are non-refundable. Before buying a pass, please note the applicable terms and conditions, and the expiration date of the classes. We will not give refunds on passes or contracts, and we cannot extend the expiration date of any of the classes. Passes and contracts are non-transferable. In the event of a personal injury or other emergency that does not allow you to use your pass or contract, we can suspend the pass or contract for a limited amount of time. Your autopay dates will remain the same, however we can extend the allowed time to use your pass. Age Limitation
We require all students to be 18+. This is for insurance liability reasons. Proper Attire
Please attend class in proper attire. Proper attire includes: athletic clothing such as shorts, tank tops, sports bras, etc. Wearing leggings or yoga pants will greatly interfere with your ability to perform certain moves and spins, and are highly discouraged. The more skin you have exposed, the easier it will be to “stick” to the pole. This is why you should also not wear lotion the day of your pole class. You cannot wear rings or other hand/arm jewelry while attending class. Studio Behavior and Etiquette
Please respect your fellow students and instructor and leave phone calls and texting to a time when you are not in class. You should not wear lotion or body oil the day of your class. This will make it very hard to grip during your class, and will make it very difficult for the instructor to clean off the pole for the next class. Please do not try any moves that you are not specifically instructed to perform. Some of our multi-level classes may have more advanced students in them, who will be working on more difficult moves. There are no “spectators” allowed in the studio during classes. No one other than the student taking the class should be in the studio at the time of the class. If you arrive early to the studio, DO NOT start stretching on an available pole. You can grab a yoga mat, and head over to where the silk area is to pre stretch. Do not use the silks to stretch without prior authorization. You must have an instructor, and NOT another student, help you with new pole moves that you are trying or learning. Proper technique helps you avoid injury and “getting” a move and doing it properly are two different things. Pole moves are taught in a specific way to ensure that they are done safely and that they do not have a high risk of injury.Place all belongings into the cubbies, SSDS will not be reliable or responsible or items lost or stolen. Do not place any personal belongings on studio shelves, ie water bottle, phone, keys etc. Studio shelves are for studio products only. Our poles have a weight limit of 250lbs. For your own safety, please do not attend our pole-based classes if you are over the weight limit without speaking with studio staff. We can assist in finding the perfect class for you. All students purchasing a pass, promo or discounted pass must email in a student photo to studio staff at [email protected]
Lastly, videos and photos are only permitted IF the instructor has informed the entire class, “ Now is the appropriate time to pull out your phone/camera if you'd like to record yourself”. At no other time are you allowed to record yourself or others. If a staff member sees a student recording without permission, they will be asked to leave the class. You MAY NOT POST ANY VIDEOS PUBLICLY if they contain images of any other student or staff member. Failure to do so may result in the termination of your account with SPIN SITY, Please be respectful to your fellow classmates privacy. If your Instructor has verbally announced to the class, now is the time to pull out your phones or recording devices ( or something similar) please be aware, these videos may be used on fellow students accounts for social media. If you do not agree, please record during open gyms, or during private lessons. By signing up for classes you are stating you understand, agree to, and are familiar with all of the above policies. Students are required to complete their covid waivers prior to each class day
