Kyokushin Karate, Kobudo and Aiki Jujitsu training. Kyokushin Wah Dojo was founded in 1992 by Shihan Wah.

Long before that, and for over more than 35 years Shihan Wah has dedicated himself to teaching countless students. It is because of this dedication that the school has flourished and became a community for people of all ages to meet and learn about the Karate way. The Karate way is not a myth, and its questions are answered, and path unfolds on a daily basis within the walls of the Kyokushin Wah Dojo, to whoever has made the effort and has had the interest in taking that first step.

Kicking down barriers and stepping up achievements, John Novion has officially attained his Nidan!

John's Kyokushin journey began under Hanshi Don Buck's guidance in the early 90's, when he was just 11 years old. After a year of training, he joined Wah Dojo, where he continued to hone his skills through intense training. Notably, John earned his Jr. Shodan in 1991 and later achieved full Shodan at 16. Following a 20-year hiatus to focus on college, marriage, and parenthood, John returned to the dojo in 2025 with renewed dedication, successfully reviving his former prowess and surpassing it.

Now, not only does John excel in his own training, but he also pays it forward by mentoring fellow students, pushing them beyond perceived limits and fostering growth. His commitment to personal excellence and the Wah Dojo community is truly commendable, strengthening the bonds within the dojo family.

Thank you, John, for your tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to the students and Wah Dojo - this milestone is a testament to your perseverance and a triumph long overdue! OSU
