One of the fun things about making music is realizing just how much the music you love finds its way into what you create.
While working on Brave. Kind. Me., I found myself inspired by some of my favorite artists:
🎶 laufey — her bossa/jazz-inflected sound definitely found its way into Goodnight Little One.
🌴 Jack Johnson ❤️ — his warmth, positivity, and effortless groove inspired I Can Be Anything.
🌺 Maoli — who we actually got to see at BottleRock! His blend of island sounds and country influences inspired Singing About You.
And then a friend told me A Little Bit of Love gave them Coldplay vibes. Wow. 😂 If only!!
Thanks to all the artists out there who inspire us — whether they know it or not.
